Similar to the naturally occurring steroid testosterone, stanozolol is a synthetic anabolic steroid. Hereditary angioedema, which produces bouts of swelling of the face, limbs, genitalia, intestinal wall, and throat, is treated with stanozolol. The frequency and severity of these attacks could be lessened with stanozolol.
